Reward Offered For Man Who Tried To Rob Bingo Hall
DENVER (CBS4) - Someone tried to rob a bingo hall and now Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000 for help finding the suspect.
New surveillance video shows the man police say opened fire on a crowded hall in Denver.
Investigators say the video shows a man hanging around outside Barry's Bingo Hall, almost staking it out. After he went in a security guard chased him back out, but not before the suspect fired a shot.
Nobody was hit.
Jerry and Sally Baca were inside and say it's a miracle no one was shot during the attempted robbery.
"I heard the security guard yell 'hey' real loud, the guy turned around, and bam," Jerry Baca said. "There are 2,300 people in there. He could have shot straight at the crowd and that scares me."
Police hope the video leads them to the suspect and the getaway driver.
"It was extremely dangerous. These guys were armed and the guy didn't mind pulling the trigger, which is always scary because who knows where that bullet would have went," Sonny Jackson with Denver police said.
The description on the suspects isn't much -- two males wearing all black. The gunman was wearing a black nylon mask.
