Police Hope Robbery Surveillance Will Help Catch Thief

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Golden have released surveillance video that shows a robbery happening on Sept. 8 at the Marriott Courtyard.

Detectives hope the video will help them track down a man they believe is responsible for at least 15 other robberies, including both hotels and pizza places, across the Denver metro area.

The suspect is wearing a Halloween mask and a black skull cap. He is also carrying a handgun. He is described as white, 5'9" tall, wearing a long sleeve dark shirt and blue jeans.

The only difference between the string of robberies and the recent hotel robbery is the time of day it occurred. The Sept. 8 robbery happened in the afternoon, the others happened late at night.

Anyone with information about the robberies or the suspect is asked to call police in Golden.
