Oil Lamp Likely Started Apartment Fire In Centennial

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4)- A fire that forced people from their homes Wednesday night appears to have been caused by an overturned oil lamp.

The lamp was burning in a third-story apartment when it tipped over and started the fire at the Villas at Homestead in Centennial.

The fire broke out at the multi-unit complex about 8 p.m. at 6833 S. Ivy Way. About 30 firefighters from Littleton and South Metro battled the blaze.
