Murder Case Initially Was Thought To Be Car Accident

DENVER (CBS4) - It appeared at first they were dealing with a fatal car accident, but Denver investigators now believe the case is a homicide.

Investigators say the man found dead in a vehicle at 8th and Decatur was murdered. A witness says the car crashed through a fence.

When police arrived Thursday morning they found a man's body in the driver's seat.

The Denver coroner identified the man as Manuel Amaro-Rojas, 24. He suffered gunshot wounds to his right arm and chest.

Amaro-Rojas was found in a green four door 1998 Hyundai Elantra.

Anyone with information is asked to call Denver police.
