More Horses Have Potentially Deadly Virus
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- More horses in Colorado are coming down with a potentially deadly virus. There are now nine confirmed cases of equine herpes virus.
Two of the horses had to be euthanized. The state is investigating 22 suspected cases.
Quarantine orders have been issued in eight counties including Boulder, Larimer and Weld Counties.
Several horse shows have been cancelled because of concerns the virus could spread.
