Memorial Held For Douglas County Murder Victim
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - On Saturday friends and family said goodbye to a murder victim who is believed to have been killed in his own home in Douglas County.
Robert Rafferty and his sister-in-law Amara Wells were found dead on Feb. 23. Wells was staying with the family because neighbors said she was afraid of her estranged husband.
Their bodies were discovered early that morning by Wells' 6-year-old daughter. She ran to a neighbor's house for help and reported finding her mother and uncle on the floor covered in blood.
Four men are facing first degree murder charges in the case including Josiah Sher, Micah Woody, Matthew Plake, and Amara's estranged husband, Chris Wells.
Douglas County investigators have not ruled out other suspects in the double homicide.
