Masked Thief Robs Bank In Arapahoe County
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Arapahoe County say a person with a gun got away with some money after robbing a bank Friday morning.
The robbery took place just before 7 a.m. at the U.S. Bank at 2401 E. Arapahoe, near University.
Police said the thief had been hiding in the bushes when an employee was walking into work. The robber showed the gun and forced his way inside with the employee at gunpoint. There was another employee inside.
The thief was only in the bank for a short time and walked away with the cash.
The suspect was wearing a gold hockey mask and was wearing gloves, a blue hoodie and blue pants so that the entire body was covered. He is described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 with a medium build.
The bank did open for business later Friday morning.
Deputies are reviewing surveillance video from the bank to see if there is any evidence to link the suspect to other robberies.
