Man Accused Of Killing Woman In ATV Crash Makes Plea Deal
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A prominent real estate broker who was scheduled for trial on Monday has pleaded guilty in a crash that killed a woman.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports Travis Ackerman, 31, struck a deal with prosecutors. He's now pleading guilty to a lesser felony homicide charge and could face up to three years in prison instead of 12.
Police say Ackerman was driving an ATV with a woman when an officer tried to stop him back in 2013. He sped off and crashed, killing the woman.
