Light Rail Train Struck Pedestrian In Downtown Denver
DENVER (CBS4)- A light rail train hit a woman in downtown Denver Friday afternoon.
The train hit a woman walking at about 3:50 p.m. at Speer and Stout. The reason for the accident is being investigated by Denver police.
Both directions of Speer were closed for nearly two hours between Champa and Stout. Drivers encountered major traffic delays in that area as the investigation into the incident continues through the evening commute.
Speer opened in both directions at about 5:50 p.m.
The woman was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center in critical condition.
Police are interviewing witnesses to figure out what happened.
