A Chilly Friday Gives Way to a Milder Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - After the season's first snowfall in Denver on Thursday, sunshine returned in full force on Friday, but the cold air stayed around and Friday's high only reached 32 degrees - the coldest high temperature we have had since March 18! The morning low dropped to just 14 degrees and that is the coldest low since March 24th!

Now we will begin to moderate our temperatures and warm into the lower 50s for Saturday under sunny skies. Sunshine will stay with us for Sunday as well and about 10 degrees warmer - into the low 60s. Our next system arrives next week and it could bring some moisture along with it, but we don't think the cold air we saw with yesterday's storm comes with it. So look for increasing clouds on Monday with a chance for a few isolated showers late in the day and a high in the upper 50s. Rain or snow showers overnight Monday into Tuesday, and cooler with a high in the upper 40s on Tuesday. This storm, as the last one, is a quick mover, so expect sunshine to return on Wednesday with a high in the low 50s...a few degrees warmer with abundant sunshine for your Thanksgiving Day.
