Another Hot Day For Wednesday, Then a Major Cool-Down
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Tuesday turned out to be another hot day as we recorded 94 degrees at both the airport and downtown - two degrees cooler than yesterday but five degrees above normal. One more hot day on the way for Wednesday as we soar back into the mid 90s with just a few isolated late day storms. All that changes - and in a major way - for Thursday and Friday. Much cooler with scattered storms Thursday - high just 78 degrees. Then a disturbance will bring a good plume of moisture into the state late Thursday into early Friday - you may wake up to showers for your Friday morning rush hour - and then see rain off and on, heavy at times, all day. We could get well over a half inch of rain by Friday evening.
Then for the weekend, we begin to dry out and warm up: scattered storms still around Saturday with a high in the low 80s; scattered storms Sunday but a high in the mid to upper 80s.
