Thursday's 80s Will Now Give Way to All 90s
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Thursday, that weak cold front we mentioned yesterday did it's work and cooled us 4 degrees below normal for this time of year: the official high was 86 degrees. We did see some heavy thunderstorms break out over southeastern and south central sections of the state with some storms producing 2" diameter hail and one even included a tornado warning. As a result a Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for the afternoon and early evening hours for south central Colorado.
For Friday, we'll be more seasonal - high around 90 - with a chance for a late isolated storm. We'll have a warm weekend forecast that includes late isolated storms for both Saturday and Sunday as highs reach into the low to mid 90s. We start next week with pretty much the same forecast: Partly cloudy with a chance for late storms each day with highs in the low to mid 90s for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
