Mostly Average July Storms and July Heat for the Week Ahead
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Monday Denver warmed to 95 degrees officilaly - 5 above normal - with scattered showers and storms across the state. Only a few of Severe storms warnings were issued as most storms were just pretty much your average type of July thunderstorm. We also saw a few Flood Warnings issued for heavy rains. Storms will end with skies going partly cloudy and through those clouds you'll see a full moon.
For Tuesday - it's simply more of the same - into the low 90s with a chance for scattered afternoon storms. In fact, we see little change right through the end of the week - chance for afternoon and evening storms each day and into the mid 90s by Friday as we'll stay in the heat all week. But as we begin the weekend we turn slightly cooler - a high in the upper 80s - with only isolated storms for your Saturday.
