Junior League of Denver fundraiser to be a Moonlight Masquerade
The Journey is the Junior League of Denver's signature fundraising event. It's a semi-formal evening which includes cocktails, dinner, a program that celebrates the organization's accomplishments over the year, a live auction, a silent auction, music, and dancing. This year CBS News Colorado's First at Four anchor Mekialaya White will emcee the event.
"Folks can get dressed up and bring their favorite mask and just expect a really great night," said Carson Maczuzak, President of the Junior League of Denver.
The Junior League of Denver was organized in 1918 as a way to train women to be community leaders. That important work continues 107-years later with a specific mission of disrupting the cycle of systemic poverty that limits women and families in Denver.
"The Journey is one of our biggest fundraisers for our organization, and the money raised goes to support our mission," Maczuzak explained. "All the money raised does go to the training of our members and the work that we're able to do in the community."
The Journey Moonlight Masquerade is at the Mile High Station. The event is capped at 350 seats. General admission tickets are $205 or you can go for the VIP experience.
"The VIP experience is a ton of fun. You get an early cocktail reception with a signature cocktail. We'll also have an aura reader, so if anyone is interested in that that will be a lot of fun to start the night off," Maczuzak said.
