JFK High School Student Charged With Sexual Assault

DENVER (CBS4)- A 17-year-old student at JFK High School is facing charges of sexual assault, a class 3 felony.

The teenager, Brian French, remains in custody at Gilliam Youth Center Friday afternoon. His name has been revealed since he is charged with a felony, however his mug shot has not been made available.

A 14-year-old girl said the assault happened February 25 at John F. Kennedy High School. French is accused of forcibly taking her to an area of the school and sexually assaulting her.

The District Attorney is still reviewing the case to see if consideration should be given to charging French as an adult.
