Mother Accused Of Giving Pot To Daughter's Friends

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)-- A mother from Golden is accused of giving marijuana to her teenage daughter's friends.

Investigators went to the home of Michelle Whitmire, 51, on Jan. 9 on another issue.

They found three teenagers inside the home and noticed the smell of marijuana.

According to the arrest affidavit, one of the teens said Whitmire had a medical marijuana license. He also said gave marijuana to "all the kids."

Whitmire works for the Jefferson County School District as a cafeteria manager at Jefferson High School. She is on paid administrative leave.

Whitmire is facing suspicion of distribution of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 24.
