Fourth Straight Week Of Gradual Declines In Unemployment Filings In Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado's latest unemployment numbers show more than 31,000 people filed for unemployment last week. That marks the fourth week in a row of gradual declines.
Colorado hit a new monthly record in April for how much money it paid out in unemployment -- $315 million. The previous highest monthly total on record was back in May of 2009 when the state paid out $103 million.
