Fmr. CDOT Employee Sentenced For Stealing Fuel
DENVER (CBS4)- A former Colorado Department of Transportation employee will spend the next 20 years behind bars after stealing fuel from the department.
Jaime Perez was sentenced Thursday. He admitted to duplicating state fuel cards and passing them on to two men.
They bought diesel fuel with those cards and sold the diesel to others. Those two men have already been deported after pleading guilty to their role in the crime.
Perez has been ordered to pay more than $440,000 in restitution.
