DPD Chief Contract Spells Out Start Date, Moving Expenses

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver's new police chief, Robert White, would start work Dec. 12 under a tentative contract up Monday evening for final city council approval.

The agreement calls for White to be paid $161,706 per year with a longevity bonus of $5,760 based on 40 years of service at other police departments.

The agreement calls for the city to pay up to $15,000 for 6 months of temporary housing for White. It also notes that the chief will receive a city vehicle for his use. According to a copy of the contract provided to CBS4, White has already signed the agreement.
