Diplomat Honored With Wall At University Of Denver

DENVER (CBS4)- Cable television pioneer John Sie unveiled a wall honoring his father, ambassador Sie Cheou-Kang at the University of Denver on Friday.

The celebrated diplomat helped shape China's future. Sie is honoring his father's legacy with a donor wall at the Sie Center for International Security and Diplomacy at DU.

"I think what Chancellor Richie and Coombe worked on for so long, this remarkable gift to all of Colorado coming to fruition," said Sie.

Sie was helped with the unveiling by Gov. John Hickenlooper. He said the center will help create a more secure world for everyone.

The center was founded with a $5 million grant from the John and Anna Sie Foundation.
