Denver Zoo Celebrates Birth Of 4 Lemurs
DENVER, Colo. (CBS4) - The Denver Zoo is celebrating the arrival of quadruplets -- and these are extra special quads: red ruffed lemurs.
It's the first time in 13 years this species has given birth at the zoo.
The quads include boy Rusty and little girls Bordeaux, Chianti and Mena. They were born on March 12.
Visitors to the zoo can see them in the Emerald Forest Exhibit.
It's the first litter for the father, Mego, and mother, named Sixpence. Sixpence was in the last litter born at the zoo back in 1998.
Zoo officials say Sixpence has been a very attentive mom.
