Colorado Closer To Hosting Republican National Convention
DENVER (CBS4) – Colorado's chances of hosting the next Republican National Convention have gotten a little better.
The state Senate passed a joint resolution listing several reasons for Denver to host the convention in 2016.
Those reasons they say include Denver's successful hosting of the Democratic National Convention in 2008, the world class infrastructure, Colorado's recreational and cultural opportunities, and Colorado's reputation as a key swing state in national elections.
