71-Year-Old Candace Morehouse Admits Embezzling $215,000 From Clear Creek County Resource Center
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) -- A 71-year-old Georgetown woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling over $215,000 from the Clear Creek County Resource Center. Candace Morehouse admitted to stealing the money between 2010 and 2018, while she was a county employee.
She volunteered to keep the finances for the resource center, and began writing checks to herself and family members.
Her sentencing is scheduled for January and she faces up to six years in jail.
