Best Well-Being Centers In Denver

The subject of well-being is a broad and oftentimes nebulous topic. I tend to look at well-being from a broader perspective than just physical health, financial security, or creature comforts. We are a varied and complex species and our sense of overall health is derived from intricate interactions between our physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual foundations. So although there are numerous opportunities for addressing each individual facet of our welfare in a traditional context, I will focus here on those places in Denver that offer either a holistic or unusual approach to instilling a sense of well-being. I will leave it to the physicians, dentists, and podiatrists to provide the more traditional options. Here I will tender some of the very best resources in our metropolis which offer up not only physical relief but also balm for the emotions, soothing of the mind, and food for the soul.

People House has served the Denver community for over 30 years. They offer a wide variety of holistic services and programs focused on the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of their clients. Affordable counseling from a host of certified professionals as well as men's and women's groups are provided. Relationship and spiritual counseling are offered and other, more unorthodox, disciplines such as meditation, yoga, and Enneagram Personality System training are available. Free Friday drop-in groups which cover a variety of topics are offered as part of the Heart of Service community outreach. People House is also one of those rare places where people just like to be. As soon as you walk in, you get a sense of warmth and peace. The staff and practitioners are friendly, dedicated and qualified and many of their clients consider PH a community. I have personally attended several workshops and gatherings there and have always found it to be a safe and inviting place to be.

Colorado consistently ranks high in well-being polls, as does several of our cities. We live in a progressive place that is not averse to exploring alternative ways to improve the quality of our lives. We would be sorely amiss to not take advantage of the many and varied approaches available to us for ensuring a sense of well-being based on the whole person that we all are. Enjoy the many sources of well-being our city has to offer and, most importantly, enjoy yourself. Life is just too darn short to do otherwise.
