Arvada Center providing 50 years of quality theater productions

The Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities is celebrating 50-years of cultivating the arts in the community, that includes a dynamic theater season every year. The 2026-27 theater season starts on September 4th with a stage production of the Stephen King novel, "Misery."

"We based our adaptation both on the book and the Oscar winning film, so fans of those will have something to recognize there," said Noelle DeLage, President & CEO of the Arvada Center. 

The season continues with the Neil Simon classic "Barefoot in the Park" on September 25th - November 1st. The Arvada Center's holiday offering this year is "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," a colorful, family-fun musical adventure. 

"We are celebrating our 50th year, if you can believe we're that old. This is our eighth presentation of "Joseph". It will offer some new twists, a little refresher, and it's great for the whole family six and up," Delage explained. 

In February 2027, the curtain goes up on "Doubt: A Parable," winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Play. It's a psychological drama set at a church school in New York in 1964. The season wraps up with the Broadway hit, "Dear Evan Hansen." A coming-of-age story that appeals to all of us who've struggled to be seen. 

"All of these shows we picked to thrill delight, laugh, and get you to think a little bit," Delage added.
