A Call To Prayer For Our Local Police Officers
Who:
· Pastor Larry Stevenson of Power Point Church and Pastor Frank Pulley of Tabernacle of Yeshua Church are coming together and calling on pastors, community, people, any and everybody regardless of color we will cover our local police in prayer. "Blessed are the peace keepers, for they will be called children of God" Matthew 5:9 NIV
· We truly understand that our communities are at-risk when police officers feel threatened to do the job in which they have been called to do and that is to "Serve and Protect" our kids, families, communities and themselves. We want our kids to feel safe and thus protected when law enforcement officers are in our neighborhood and communities throughout the Nation.
What:
A very serious, heinous, frightening and open threat has been made against the Aurora Police Department, Denver Police Department and Sheriffs, by an Unknown Suspect, however, the threat has been recorded on APD 911 dispatching system and made public and should turn the stomach of all who hear or hear of it. Something must be done! Therefore we are doing the only thing we know how to do in these desperate times and that is pray for our peace keepers. We know they will take every measure possible to protect themselves and their brethren-having each other's backs and still protecting and serving our communities with the utmost professionalism, wearing the bullet proof vest etc. However, we are going to cover them with the full armor of God through prayer. We will meet and begin are prayer gathering and prayer circle walks at the Aurora Police Administrative building on Thursday September 10, 2015 at 8:30am, from there we will follow a planned route which will allow us to pray at and over each and every police substation and administrative (headquarters) building related to Denver, Aurora and Arapahoe County Law Enforcement offices.
When: 8:30 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015
Where: Aurora Police Headquarters-15001 E Alameda Pkwy, Aurora, CO 80012 (All subsequent police substations related to Denver, Aurora and Arapahoe County)
