10 Denver Nonprofits Receive Grants Meant To Boost Neighborhoods
DENVER (CBS4) - Ten organizations in the Denver area will share half a million dollars to improve their neighborhoods.
Supporting small business is one goal, but another is to help families get homes.
Wells Fargo handed out the grants on Thursday. It's part of the bank's NeighborhoodLIFT program.
Recipients included Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, Colorado Housing Assistance and Urban Land Conservancy.
"They are our access points to making sure that people can attain the dream of home ownership," Denver Mayor Michael Hancock said.
