Those who used the app between August 2015 through now could get part of a $68.5 million dollar settlement. It's from a lawsuit claiming Meta, which owns Instagram, violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
The settlement results from many lawsuits against Meta, claiming the company shared users' data without their permission.
Anyone with a Facebook account from May 2007 to December last year can submit a claim.
