The Buffalo Bills safety suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Buffalo Bills safety remains hospitalized in critical condition, but "appears to be neurologically intact," the team said in a statement.
The Blue Demons (7-9, 1-4) were led by Umoja Gibson, who posted 16 points, eight assists and two steals.
Northwestern (11-3, 2-1 Big Ten) added to what has been its best start in seven seasons.
Loyola also got 12 points and six rebounds from Philip Alston. Ben Schwieger had nine points.

Matt Eberflus said the team is providing mental health resources for the players as they navigate this difficult week.
The team said the 24-year-old safety "is expected to remain under intensive care as his health care team continues to monitor and treat him."
Bears coach Matt Eberflus said the injury is not a long-term issue. Nathan Peterman will start in Fields' place on Sunday.
