Teen charged in 2 separate December armed robberies on Chicago's West Side
CHICAGO (CBS) — A teenage boy was charged in connection to two separate armed robberies on the city's West Side back in December.
The boy, 17, was arrested on Wednesday in the 600 block of North Central Park Avenue and charged with two felony counts of armed robbery and one felony count of possession of a controlled substance.
Chicago police said the teen was identified as one of the suspects who robbed a woman, 23, at gunpoint on Dec. 5, in the 4000 block of West Maypole Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. He also participated in another armed robbery of a man, 19, in the 400 block of South Laramie Avenue in the Austin neighborhood.
The teen was taken into custody and charged accordingly, police said.
