Sunny and breezy day ahead in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — Gusty northwest winds are blowing Cooler, less humid weather into the area, setting the stage for an incredible summer weekend.
Low temperatures drop into the 50s Saturday and Sunday mornings -- the coolest readings in Chicago in over five weeks -- and high temperatures rise into the 70s to near 80.
The Chicago Air & Water Show will feature spectacular weather with sunshine on both days and comfortable, low humidity.
Beachgoers should stay out of the water on the Indiana and Michigan shorelines on Saturday as high winds will produce dangerous waves and currents. A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect through Saturday afternoon.
Next week, we are tracking a stormier weather pattern that will eventually return. A few showers and storms are possible briefly on Monday, but the main rain chance comes Wednesday through Friday, when a few strong storms will be possible.
