CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are looking for a man accused of curbing his SUV and asking a 13-year-old girl if she wanted a ride to school Wednesday morning in the South Side Hyde Park neighborhood.

It happened about 8:45 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Kenwood when a man attempted to lure the teen into his vehicle, a community alert from Wentwoth Area detectives said.

The man curbed his vehicle and asked the girl if she wanted a ride to school. She said no and he drove away, the alert said.

The man is described as black, 40 to 45 with a dark complexion, gray hair, black and gray mustache and black rimmed glasses. He was driving a red, late model four-door SUV with an unknown license plate number, the alert said.
