Man shot, killed in SUV in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood
A man was shot and killed Saturday night while sitting in a sport-utility vehicle in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.
Police said at 9:16 p.m., the 34-year-old man was inside a gray sport-utility vehicle when someone came up, took out a gun, and fired shots at the man before fleeing.
The victim was shot in the shoulder and abdomen and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The shooter ran away and had not been found as of Sunday morning.
Wentworth Area detectives were investigating.
