Man critically injured in Chatham shooting

A man was critically injured after a shooting in the Chatham neighborhood overnight. 

Just before 12:50 a.m., Chicago police said a 49-year-old man was involved in an argument with a person inside a white sedan in the 8000 block of South Vincennes Avenue. 

Police said the person inside the car fired shots, hitting the man in the shoulder. 

The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition. 

No other injuries were reported. 

No arrests have been made. 

Area Two detectives are investigating.
