2 arrested for San Bernardino shooting that killed man, wounded woman

Two San Bernardino men have been arrested for a shooting that left a man dead and a woman wounded near the 210 Freeway last weekend.

In a news release shared by the California Highway Patrol, officers said they were called to an encampment near eastbound lanes of SR-210 and Del Rosa Avenue in San Bernardino at around 1 a.m. on Sunday, August 16 for reports of gunfire.

Arriving officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

"Investigators later determined that the shooting occurred at an encampment near eastbound SR-210 and Del Rosa Avenue," the release said. "CHP officers from the San Bernardino Area responded to the scene and located a second victim, a man who was pronounced dead at the scene."

Neither of the victims of the shooting has yet been publicly identified.

CHP detectives with the Inland Division Warrant Service Team identified two suspects in the shooting the next day. After a search warrant was executed at a San Bernardino home, they were both taken into custody.

The suspects have been identified as San Bernardino men Isaac Miguel Martinez, 21, and David Antonio Carrillo, 37. They were each booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Central Division Center on suspicion of murder.
