Fire inside commercial building in Garfield Park leaves woman dead
CHICAGO (CBS) – One person is dead following a fire in the Garfield Park neighborhood Friday morning.
Fire officials say it started around 6 a.m. inside a store in the 100 block of North Kedzie Avenue.
Chicago police said the fire was extinguished and an unidentified woman was discovered unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one is in custody.
Circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
