Best Pottery Painting Classes For Kids In Chicago

Enrolling your child in a class setting is a great way to encourage socialization and provide differing environments outside of school. While many parents tend to favor sports classes for their children, it's important not to overlook the importance of promoting creativity and imagination. Pottery painting classes for children are a great way to allow your child to embrace the messy experience involved in the process while leaving the mess in class. Chicago has a number of pottery painting classes to choose from that are geared towards children of all different age groups.

Park West Ceramics was established in 1997 in the Lincoln Park area as a pottery class geared for adults. However, it has expanded its classes to include children's pottery services. Kids Clay Room features camps, workshops, classes and birthday events. Unlike some other pottery painting classes, Kids Clay Room teaches children to make ceramic pieces from raw clay. Kids are encouraged to use their creativity through molding and clay tools. Spring Break Camps are available for late March and early April for children ages five years and older. The camps are $40 per child and allow children to make and glaze their own clay projects to take home as keepsakes.
