Wednesday's Child: Evan, Dylan And James

BOSTON (CBS) - Evan, Dylan and James are brothers of African American and Caucasian descent who hope to be adopted together. They also have an older brother with whom they would like to maintain regular contact.

Evan, 13, is funny and outgoing. He enjoys dancing and joking around. He likes being around others, adults and other children alike. Evan is a resourceful young teen who has a positive outlook on life. He is generally well-behaved in his foster home. In school, Evan benefits from an Individualized Education Plan to address some communication needs, however, he tries hard and overall there are no significant issues.

Dylan, 12, is shy and can take a little time to warm up to new people. Once he knows someone, he is quite caring. Dylan enjoys drawing and playing video games. He also enjoys playing with action figures. He does well overall in his foster home and is able to accept consequences when he misbehaves. Dylan receives special education services in school, but shows the ability to improve with extra help, and is well-behaved and liked by others.

James, 7, is an easy-going and sensitive people-pleaser. He enjoys playing with action figures and Uno. He is generally well-behaved in his foster home. James receives special education services to help him with speech, cognitive delays in addition to receiving occupational therapy. He is really good at math, but can have difficulty with his behaviors in the classroom.

Legally free for adoption, these siblings would do well in a family of any constellation, with or without other children. The ideal family for them will be supportive of their continued participation in therapy, and help them maintain contact with their grandmother.
