T.J. Ward: Broncos' Derek Wolfe Told Tom Brady 'I'll Eat Your Children' [VIDEO]

By Matt Dolloff, CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- It's already known that an unnamed Denver Broncos player said he wanted to do something vulgar to Tom Brady with his private parts during the AFC Championship Game. New clues suggest that the player may have been Broncos defensive tackle Derek Wolfe.

Safety T.J. Ward, best known for ending Gronk's season in 2013, joined Highly Questionable with Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones and was asked, "Why are Broncos people afraid of Derek Wolfe?" Ward mentioned that Wolfe once told an opposing player "I'm going to eat your kids" - he "hit 'em with a Mike Tyson," as Ward said.

Ward added that he believes the target of Wolfe's comment was Tom Brady.

As far as whoever said he wanted to violate Brady with his genitalia during the game, Ward said "I still don't know who said that...but I have a good idea," as he smirked and laughed with a raised eyebrow.

As grotesque as Wolfe's alleged comments sound out of context - considering that Brady actually does have kids - in the middle of an NFL game it's probably just as offensive as anything else players may say to each other. It's relatively harmless smack talk and nobody should shed a tear for Brady over this. But it's still an ear-catching kind of remark that sheds light on the kind of language that flies around a football field on Sundays.

As for Brady, Wolfe and the Broncos defense got the best of him that day in the AFC Championship Game, but it's far from the final meeting between the two teams. Brady will probably spin this into a vortex of motivation to whip a touchdown pass right over Wolfe's the head next time these teams meet. We'll see who's having whose children for dinner when that happens.
