Victor Martinez Fractures Thumb
The Red Sox continue to be bitten by the injury bug as catcher Victor Martinez left Sunday's game in the third inning with a fractured left thumb. Martinez took a foul tip from the Giants Andres Torres and due to swelling could not fit his hand back into his glove the following inning. The Red Sox are off on Monday and will further evaluate Martinez to determine if he will be placed on the disabled list.
