Sturbridge Man Allegedly Vandalizes Car With Nachos, Jalapenos

STURBRIDGE (CBS) – Police say a Sturbridge man slashed the tires of another man's car before vandalizing it with nacho cheese and jalapeno peppers.

An officer was on patrol Friday when a man flagged him down to say his car had been vandalized overnight.

All four tires on the man's Ford Focus had been slashed.

In addition, the interior passenger side seat was slashed and someone had smeared nacho cheese and jalapenos on the car's roof.

After an investigation, including watching surveillance video of the suspect buying the nachos, police arrested 24-year-old Robert Debusk.

Debusk was charged with breaking and entering into a vehicle nighttime for felony, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, and injury defacement or destruction of real property.

Police say Debusk had gone to the victim's house earlier in the night but was not let in. The victim showed police a string of text messages between him and Debusk.

Debusk is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Dudley District Court.
