Eighteen-year-old Sean Ivaldi was arrested last week, days after a teacher turned in one of Ivaldi's notebooks to the principal. It allegedly had written threats directed towards specific students and staff members.
Police say the plan included a detailed point system - 20 points for killing students, 30 for teachers, and 60 for police officers.
Investigators say the threats were made months ago and Ivaldi did not have access to guns.
In a letter to parents, the principal said students and staff were "never in any danger."
