State Police Remind Drivers To Clear Snow From Vehicles

WORCESTER (CBS) – State Police are reminding drivers to clean the snow off of their vehicles.

On Tuesday afternoon, after the first snowfall of the season, a trooper's cruiser was struck by snow and ice that fell off a SUV.

State Police say Trooper Carley Timmons was traveling on Route 190 North in Worcester when her cruiser was struck. She was not injured.

Photos from the traffic stop show the cruiser's windshield was damaged.

Drivers can be issued a $200 ticket for not cleaning snow off their vehicle.
