State Police K-9 Zeva Helps Seize 100lbs Of Marijuana At Logan

BOSTON (CBS) - State Police and DEA Agents made a large drug bust Wednesday, thanks to the help of K-9 Zeva.

Authorities learned of a man -- identified as 31-year-old Trang Pham--  arriving on a Delta flight from San Francisco believed to be carrying a large amount of marijuana. Pham was approached by police at the terminal when he exited the plane.

Trooper Eric Pecjo of the State Police Troop F K9 Section and his Belgian Malinois named Zeva were brought in to assist with the investigation. They searched his suitcases and found 100 pounds of marijuana wrapped in heat-sealed plastic.

Pham was charged with trafficking marijuana and was arraigned Thursday in the East Boston District Court.
