Second Drowning In Four Months At Yarmouth Resort
YARMOUTH (CBS) – A person drowned in the pool of a Cape Cod resort Thursday, the second death there in the last four months.
Police confirmed that just after 5:20 p.m. on Thursday officers were called to Bayside Resort Hotel on Route 28 in Yarmouth.
Though first responders began CPR on the 40-year-old man upon their arrival, he was pronounced dead after being transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
Police said the man, who was from the Boston area but had family in Yarmouth, was discovered at the bottom of the pool by a young resort guest. Several bystanders pulled him out of the pool and the young guest called 911.
In August a nine-year-old girl died at the same hotel and her 12-year-old sister was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said Friday it is unclear the current condition of the older sister from the August incident.
