Salisbury Axe Attack Suspect Arrested In NH
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Authorities in New Hampshire say they've arrested a Massachusetts man wanted in connection with an axe attack.
Forty-three-year-old Jay Larose, who was wanted for assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, was spotted in Manchester late Tuesday by two police officers on routine patrol.
They recognized him as the man being sought for an incident in Salisbury, in which a man was assaulted with an axe Sunday.
Larose, who was captured without incident, was to be arraigned in Manchester District Court on Wednesday as a fugitive from justice.
