Drone Video Shows Pod Of Endangered Right Whales Swimming Near Cape Cod Canal
SANDWICH (CBS) -- It was a rare sight in Cape Cod waters. A drone photographer spotted six North Atlantic Right whales swimming near the canal on Thursday.
The species is endangered with less than 400 left in the world. But the good news is that researchers say at least 15 calves have been born this year.
Cape Cod boaters are being told to slow down for whales for the next two months, with a mandatory speed restriction in the bay through May 15.
