Report: Bud Selig To Get Contract Extension

BOSTON (CBS) - MLB Commissioner Bud Selig isn't going anywhere any time soon.

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, Selig is in line to receive at least a two-year contract extension to remain the commissioner.

Selig became the league's acting commissioner in 1992, and the title became official in 1998.

Since he took power, baseball has endured the 1994 strike, the steroids scandal that plagued the sport during the 2000's, and the institution of drug testing.
