Report: Bruins Sign Boychuk To 3-Year Extension
BOSTON (CBS) - Johnny Boychuk has signed a three-year contract extension with the Boston Bruins, according to a report.
Bob McKenzie of TSN in Canada is reporting Boychuk and the B's have agreed to a three-year extension worth approximately $3.36 million per year.
The 28-year-old defenseman was set to become an unrestricted free-agent after the season.
Known for his physical play and rocket slap shots, Boychuk has tallied three goals and seven assists this season.
In his 177 career games, only four not with Boston, Boychuk has 11 goals and 30 assists.
