Report: Amendola Has Torn Adductor Muscles, Possible Sports Hernia

BOSTON (CBS) --- Danny Amendola may be out for the next three to four weeks.

That's according to a Fox Sports report that he has torn adductor muscles in his hip and has gotten conflicting reports from doctors as to whether or not he also has a sports hernia, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting.

Glazer first tweeted the news, Sunday morning.

Amendola was limited prior to the season opener with a groin issue, and it resurfaced late in the first half against the season opener in Buffalo.

However, Amendola didn't miss much time, and he was Tom Brady's most reliable receiver throughout the second half.

Amendola did not play in Thursday's game against the Jets.

According to Glazer, Amendola is getting a second opinion Sunday.
